PURPOSE OF THIS REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS:
The purpose of the Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals to establish a contract through competitive negotiations to strengthen the capacity, collaboration, and coordination within local communities to deliver high-quality prenatal to age five early childhood programs and services
The New Mexico Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD) is releasing a competitive funding opportunity for New Mexico Early Childhood Coalitions through the Local Early Childhood Systems Building Grant (LECSBG). Funding through the LECSBG is designed to aid in the actionable implementation of each coalition’s strategic plan which must reflect a commitment to systems-building efforts and results. Coalitions funded through the LECSBG are required to utilize this funding for policy and community change by reaching and engaging those with lived experience.
Through effective local leadership and community-relevant strategies, Coalitions will concentrate on aligning efforts with their community-specific strategic plan and ECECD’s overall strategic plan (Florecer), to implement systems-building activities and execute community outreach leading to enhanced access and utilization of early childhood resources and programs that are trauma-responsive and culturally relevant.
SEQUENCE OF EVENTS:
The Procurement Manager and ECECD will make every effort to adhere to the following
schedule. These dates are subject to change at the discretion of ECECD. Dates indicated in Events 6 through 12 are estimates only and may be subject to change without necessitating an amendment
to the RFP.
